[00:00:51] Speaker B: It wasn't remote song by I think. [00:00:57] Speaker C: I want to say it was like Joe Cocker. [00:01:00] Speaker B: No, that'd be interesting. [00:01:02] Speaker C: It wasn't good. It was terrible. It was horrible. [00:01:06] Speaker B: Anyway, alphabet. Sweet podcast. I'm Pat. [00:01:09] Speaker C: I am Tim producer. [00:01:11] Speaker D: Aaron. [00:01:12] Speaker B: Rock on. [00:01:14] Speaker C: What do I do, man? [00:01:16] Speaker B: It's a simple motion. You've been doing it for six dude. [00:01:19] Speaker C: It's been three. Rock on, dude. Thanks, man. Yeah. [00:01:28] Speaker B: So today we're going to try to talk. I guess we're not going to talk about anything. The podcast is over. Thanks for joining us. [00:01:35] Speaker D: Wow. Peace. [00:01:37] Speaker B: Peace and be wild, right? [00:01:39] Speaker C: 24. [00:01:40] Speaker B: 24. [00:01:41] Speaker D: That's a TV show, right? [00:01:44] Speaker B: And a podcast that it took forever to get to. [00:01:49] Speaker C: No, 24 followers. [00:01:52] Speaker B: 24 followers on Facebook. [00:01:55] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:01:56] Speaker D: Up to podcast that took forever to get to. [00:01:59] Speaker B: 1718. 1921. [00:02:02] Speaker C: Orgasms. [00:02:03] Speaker B: Orgasms. Girls. Under puppies. [00:02:05] Speaker D: We're back to madhouse. [00:02:07] Speaker B: No, we're just 24. He said 24. That's where my mind went. [00:02:14] Speaker C: He wants to go back and redo it. [00:02:15] Speaker B: I do not want to go back. [00:02:17] Speaker D: No more madhouse. [00:02:18] Speaker B: Oh, there's going to be more madhouse. But I don't think we're going to have that much in a row anymore. No. Today we are talking about by the. [00:02:26] Speaker C: Way, I am your co host. You didn't say host, bro. Well, you didn't either, because he jacked our thing up. [00:02:34] Speaker D: I'm not cutting and putting that up front either. [00:02:39] Speaker B: We're both kind of co hosts, right? [00:02:41] Speaker C: You put a black thing with words that say host and co host. [00:02:46] Speaker B: We're like Regis and Kathy Lee. [00:02:48] Speaker D: Why would I do that? [00:02:49] Speaker C: Like a balloon, and then it pops and then it says words. I'm on musical enhancers. Leave me be. Go. [00:02:59] Speaker B: I tried to go, and you just, like, completely ignored me and went on. [00:03:01] Speaker C: Your multiple times so far. Yeah. What are we talking about today? [00:03:07] Speaker B: Well, I don't know. [00:03:09] Speaker C: Right. [00:03:10] Speaker B: Because it hasn't been what we're supposed to since this whole thing started. [00:03:14] Speaker C: See, this is what happens when the TV ain't on, bro. [00:03:18] Speaker B: You're saying the TV being off is a distraction? [00:03:23] Speaker C: Yes. [00:03:25] Speaker B: Had the TV been on with the notes up there, you would not be distracted? [00:03:31] Speaker C: No, I'd be shutting up and wouldn't bother you so you could talk and I'll be looking. [00:03:38] Speaker B: Can you pull your phone up, man? [00:03:40] Speaker C: Can you? No, because I was going to and you yelled at me. [00:03:42] Speaker D: I didn't yell at you. [00:03:43] Speaker C: Shut up. [00:03:44] Speaker B: You're being very negative today, Mr. [00:03:48] Speaker C: I like the guitars. Did you tell them what we're almost. [00:03:58] Speaker A: Like? [00:03:58] Speaker B: You're treating me like I'm your child. [00:04:00] Speaker C: Oh, wait a minute. That's a whole new thing. So I treat my child like that. [00:04:06] Speaker B: I hear you tell your child shut up. [00:04:09] Speaker C: Go, go, puffs. [00:04:10] Speaker D: You all need to go to couples therapy, man. [00:04:15] Speaker B: Wait, Maya, we got you. [00:04:17] Speaker D: No, right. [00:04:20] Speaker B: Don't throw your pen. [00:04:21] Speaker C: I don't have it. [00:04:22] Speaker B: I know you ain't got nothing because you forgot it all. So can I say what we're going to talk about? What episode this is? [00:04:32] Speaker C: We've been waiting, bro. [00:04:33] Speaker B: Are you going to interrupt me? So we're going to try to talk about 2045 Radical Band, which is a strange title, but it is what it is. [00:04:48] Speaker C: Came out in 2000. [00:04:50] Speaker B: 2000, okay. On the Bamboozled soundtrack, which is a Spike Lee film, which I'm not really a fan of Spike Lee. [00:04:59] Speaker C: I do not like Spike Lee at all. [00:05:01] Speaker B: I'm sorry. [00:05:02] Speaker C: Although I did, like, do the right thing because Rosie Perez's boobies were in it, and I love that. [00:05:08] Speaker B: But that has nothing to do with Spike Lee. [00:05:10] Speaker C: No, it don't. But they had Rosie Perez nude. Nude. Yeah. [00:05:15] Speaker B: Topless. [00:05:16] Speaker C: At least she was in Frasier, too. [00:05:18] Speaker B: Not nude. [00:05:19] Speaker C: Not nude at all. [00:05:20] Speaker B: Did you see they're bringing Fraser back? [00:05:21] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't know about that one, man. I love Frasier. But you ain't got Niles, you ain't got Daphne. The dad's dead, the dog's dead. [00:05:31] Speaker B: Dogs don't live over and neither do people. [00:05:33] Speaker C: Roz is coming back, though. She yeah. [00:05:36] Speaker B: Okay. Anyway. 2045 Radical Man So there's like four versions of this song. I'm annoyed only by Prince. You're going to throw your phone because you don't have a pen? [00:05:50] Speaker C: What? No, it was bugging me before you ramble. I mean, not Ramble, but talk. No ramble before you get to the smartness. I just want to do my little notes here. [00:06:02] Speaker B: Okay. What's your note say? [00:06:06] Speaker C: I think it's funky. [00:06:08] Speaker D: Okay. [00:06:09] Speaker C: The music part, when we're listening to it, it had good bass to it. After listening to it, I like how it flows, but I'm confused on the whole meaning of it. I just white it's all over the place. Yeah. I was like, what the hell, man? [00:06:37] Speaker B: The best I can figure out. [00:06:38] Speaker C: And that's all my notes. [00:06:40] Speaker B: So I can speak now? Yeah, speak. Sit, Boo, sit. [00:06:46] Speaker C: Good dog. Good dog. [00:06:50] Speaker D: This episode is all over the damn place. [00:06:52] Speaker C: It's like this song. See, that's why we're doing. [00:06:57] Speaker D: Have you watched the movie? [00:06:59] Speaker B: What movie? Bamboozled. [00:07:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:01] Speaker B: I don't think it has anything to do I haven't seen the movie because I'm not a Spike Lee fan. [00:07:05] Speaker C: Did he direct this, too? Yes, it was the song. [00:07:09] Speaker B: Did he direct the song? [00:07:11] Speaker C: Money don't matter. The video. [00:07:13] Speaker B: There's not no video. There's no video for it. [00:07:16] Speaker C: I thought there would be that's weird. [00:07:18] Speaker B: No, but I've never seen the movie. [00:07:21] Speaker C: Me neither. Have you seen it? [00:07:23] Speaker D: Never even heard of it until just five minutes ago. [00:07:26] Speaker C: I didn't even know I've heard the name, the title, but I didn't know it was a Spike Lee thing. Yeah, I thought it was some sitcom with some funky white lady. I can't think of her name, so I had to call her Funky White Lady. Just saying. [00:07:44] Speaker B: Anyway, I don't think the song I could be wrong, but I don't he starts out talking about how the recording industry is controlled by people who don't even make music. [00:07:59] Speaker D: That's true. [00:08:00] Speaker B: And it becomes this. [00:08:08] Speaker C: Ah. [00:08:11] Speaker B: I don't even know what to call it. A statement piece on people trying to keep people down. And then the way I took it is it's talking about the computer, because you remember, this came out 25 years ago, so it's talking about the computer age coming and how computers are getting viruses and are you ready? Are you going to be the radical man that steps out? But then he goes off on getting food from the man. It really is lyrically all over the place. [00:08:50] Speaker C: Yeah. And then he used the N word, but he meant white. Black. [00:08:54] Speaker B: Yeah. He drops the N word, like, a lot, a lot in this song. And you notice I'm not even going to say it, so that way people. [00:09:02] Speaker C: Can'T get mad at me. [00:09:03] Speaker B: So he drops the N word a lot, but when he says the N that I'm talking about are the men in suits who are trying to buy up all the companies just to break them out and sell them off in pieces. So he's not talking that when he drops the N word, because he's like, they come in all different colors. White, black, Puerto Rican. [00:09:29] Speaker C: Something about drinking and letting your life go by or something. [00:09:34] Speaker B: Yeah, he said the ones that I'm talking about, it's really weird. Good song. Yeah, it is funky. [00:09:42] Speaker C: It flows nice. [00:09:43] Speaker B: Yeah, it flows really well and it's a good funky tune. I really like the song and it's like seven minute song, so it made up for 2020 being. [00:09:51] Speaker C: There you go. And that's another thing. I was like, oh, my gosh, is this ever going to end? Holy crap. [00:09:58] Speaker B: There's four versions to the song. [00:10:01] Speaker C: Are they all this long? [00:10:03] Speaker B: No. Well, two of them are. So two of the versions, one is just on the bamboozled soundtrack. He edits out the N word. [00:10:12] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [00:10:13] Speaker B: But if you get the slaughterhouse because he released it on the slaughterhouse, it's unedited. Technically, it's the same song. He just blips out the N word. [00:10:24] Speaker C: Isn't that a band? [00:10:25] Speaker B: Same song. [00:10:26] Speaker D: It's basically like a radio version against album version. [00:10:32] Speaker B: Correct. And then you shine like that. [00:10:38] Speaker C: Yeah. You could have shine right there. [00:10:40] Speaker B: It's because I'm bright. [00:10:42] Speaker C: You're bright. [00:10:43] Speaker D: He shines bright like a diamond. [00:10:46] Speaker C: There we go. I'd rather shine like a pearl. Yeah, that was good, right? [00:10:54] Speaker B: We worked together promo for the Bamboozled soundtrack where they just don't be salty, bro. Snippets of each song on the soundtrack. So there's that version, which, again, just a snippet of the same song. And then there is an unreleased studio version, which we don't have the promo or this unreleased studio version. [00:11:18] Speaker D: The Pearl would be the salty one because they're made under the Ocean. [00:11:24] Speaker B: So I feel like I'm on this train by myself, talking about the song. [00:11:28] Speaker D: No, I'm here listening. I'm just bouncing back and forth. The ADHD really helps with that. [00:11:32] Speaker B: You're just playing with both conversations. [00:11:35] Speaker D: Well, I mean, I tuned in with you and then I responded to him afterwards and then I came back because. [00:11:39] Speaker B: There'S definitely two separate conversations happening here. [00:11:42] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:11:45] Speaker B: You're the go between. Everything funnels through the producer. [00:11:51] Speaker D: I mean, that is true, because I decide what goes out and what doesn't. [00:11:54] Speaker B: Yes, sir. [00:12:00] Speaker D: But it's good. It's almost like we didn't start the fire kind of deal, talking about all the crap that's going down. [00:12:16] Speaker B: Kind of in that sense of it. Yeah, he talks about a lot of stuff, but yeah. [00:12:30] Speaker C: Did you know that. [00:12:34] Speaker D: One plus one plus one is three? [00:12:36] Speaker B: I heard that somewhere. [00:12:38] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:38] Speaker B: I wonder where three times two equals six. [00:12:42] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:42] Speaker D: Might that be on the Alphabet Suite playlist? [00:12:46] Speaker B: It is on the alphabet. [00:12:47] Speaker D: Oh, snap. Look at that. Segue. [00:12:49] Speaker C: Very good. [00:12:52] Speaker B: Mike drop. No, don't drop it. [00:12:53] Speaker C: No, they're expensive. [00:12:56] Speaker D: No, y'all drop them more than I do. [00:12:57] Speaker B: I don't. [00:13:00] Speaker C: Did you know the guy from Toto? [00:13:04] Speaker B: There was more than one, but wrote. [00:13:08] Speaker C: No one of them. I don't know what, I can't remember his name. Wrote human nature. Michael Jackson. [00:13:16] Speaker B: Why would we even we're talking about. [00:13:20] Speaker D: The radical man man. [00:13:23] Speaker B: And just so you know, the unreleased version is an edit that was included on the Manowar Band promo cassette that was never released. Which is why I never got that one. [00:13:37] Speaker C: But anyway why you blow my thing off, bro? I'm going to blow you up now. [00:13:43] Speaker B: Just on my blow off your Cocoa Puffs. [00:13:45] Speaker C: I know. [00:13:46] Speaker B: No, total because this is not the Michael Jackson podcast. [00:13:51] Speaker C: I know. It just shows and proves he's a liar. [00:13:55] Speaker B: Michael Jackson? [00:13:56] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh, I wrote the music. Wait a minute. [00:14:00] Speaker B: You want to hear what's even worse than got? The Michael Jackson estate got sued and lost because they were releasing records posthumously and post. [00:14:11] Speaker C: What? [00:14:12] Speaker B: After he died. [00:14:14] Speaker C: What was the word you used? [00:14:16] Speaker B: Post? Humorous. [00:14:20] Speaker C: You've heard that word before? Posthumous. [00:14:22] Speaker B: Yeah, posthumous. That's how I say it. [00:14:24] Speaker D: Posthumous. [00:14:25] Speaker B: Anyway, after they died, they released two michael Jackson didn't even sing on him. They had an impersonator singing. [00:14:34] Speaker C: What the hell? [00:14:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Talk about jacked up. [00:14:39] Speaker C: Wow. [00:14:40] Speaker D: And Michael jacked up, son. [00:14:43] Speaker B: So it was fans that noticed it and they sued him and won. Yeah, they finally had to admit and they found the guy and he's like, yeah, I sang on those songs. [00:14:55] Speaker D: So MJ doesn't have a vault? [00:14:57] Speaker B: Oh, no, not even. They did, like, two posthumous albums and then they got sued and you haven't gotten anything since. [00:15:08] Speaker C: So is this like, how is he. [00:15:10] Speaker D: Going to make new music? [00:15:11] Speaker B: Well, because they were trying to say, oh, Michael's got tons of music that they could release, but ever since those. [00:15:17] Speaker C: Two, it's like a Millie Vanilli. Robin Fab. [00:15:21] Speaker B: I like Millie Vanilli. [00:15:22] Speaker C: Yeah, so did I, but they weren't really singing. [00:15:25] Speaker B: I liked Robin Fab, too, though. Their solo stuff. I liked it. [00:15:29] Speaker C: Yeah, it was good. Yeah. Then the one died. But we're not talking about radical, man. [00:15:36] Speaker B: Yeah. So, anyway, good song too, man. Santa Spikeling film. But now I'm going to have to watch the film just to see. Ah, I watch it. [00:15:44] Speaker C: You watch it? Let me know. [00:15:45] Speaker B: I'll watch it and let you know. It might be good. [00:15:47] Speaker C: Who knows? Is Rosie Perez in it? [00:15:49] Speaker B: I don't know. I know nothing about the film. [00:15:51] Speaker C: All right? [00:15:53] Speaker D: It could be one of the greatest movies you watch of 2023. [00:15:57] Speaker B: I want to see if I can find it streaming somewhere. [00:15:59] Speaker D: You're being prejudiced about Spike Lee. [00:16:01] Speaker C: Yeah, I am. [00:16:04] Speaker D: The Beastie Boys love Spike Lee. [00:16:07] Speaker C: Beastie Boys are nuts. [00:16:08] Speaker B: Okay, so I think that's all I got to say. [00:16:11] Speaker C: Peace. [00:16:12] Speaker B: Peace. [00:16:24] Speaker C: Get us out of here. I never got to end it and end an episode, so I wanted to get it in, bro. [00:16:31] Speaker B: I was waiting.
